Ticimax Site Setup and Development
We set your Ticimax site up, and develop an existing one around what the business needs. Product data, category structure, design and the systems it connects to are handled as one scope.
Owning the platform is one decision; having it configured around your business is another. This page is about the second.
Buying the platform is not the same as building the site
What opens on day one is an admin panel, not a shop. The work that closes the gap falls into four areas.
The category tree, products, variants, and the shape product content is held in.
Theme selection and configuration, navigation, homepage structure and product page layout.
Payment, shipping, the order flow and how stock behaves day to day.
The links to accounting, ERP, supplier data and marketplace channels.
A new build
Order matters: setting up a theme and integrations before the catalogue is settled means fixing all three later. Domain, measurement and pre-launch checks come last.
An existing site
On a running site, rebuilding is not the default answer. The complaint usually traces to a catalogue that sprawled as it grew, a module nobody switched on, or a connection never built.
The scope follows what the site sells; no project covers all of it.
Where will product data be managed?
Leaving this question open is the most expensive mistake in a Ticimax project. Once products, prices and stock are edited in more than one place, nobody can say which is right.
- The Ticimax admin
- Products are managed directly in the panel. With a small, single-channel catalogue this is the simplest setup.
- Accounting or ERP
- Stock and pricing live in the corporate system and feed the site from there.
- A supplier XML feed
- Products and stock come from the supplier; Ticimax's XML supplier integration exists for that flow.
- The company's own system
- If the data sits in your own database, the link is built through web services.
The answer need not be a single source, but in every field it must be clear which system has the last word. We put that in writing before setup starts.
Setting, module, integration, custom development
When a request arrives these four rungs are tried in order. Starting at the bottom is what prevents development nobody needed.
Setting
If the behaviour already exists in the panel, the answer is configuration.
Module
Where Ticimax has a module for the job, we set it up and make sure it is used properly.
Integration
When an external system is involved, the right ready integration category comes in.
Custom development
For everything left, the work runs through Ticimax's web services.
The web services cover products, categories, variants, stock and order status, and access is opened by request to Ticimax. Which integration is workable is settled against the Ticimax package in use and the access those services actually provide during the project.
Theme and storefront
On Ticimax the storefront is assembled from a theme catalogue and the admin panel.
Ticimax provides its own theme catalogue, sorted by sector, with mobile behaviour coming from the theme. Our job is fitting the theme to the brand: navigation and category presentation, homepage structure, and arranging the product page around the order a customer decides in.
Which visual changes are possible depends on the theme and the package. We answer whether a request can be met by looking at the settings that theme exposes — we do not promise on a guess.
Integrations and sales channels
A site does not run alone. Every connection left unbuilt is replaced by somebody doing the job by hand.
- Marketplace channels
- Shipping and delivery
- Payment systems
- Accounting and ERP
- Supplier XML feeds
- Call centre and customer contact
A marketplace means a second catalogue
Your site and your marketplace channels sell the same products but are separate places: which product appears where, where stock is held and where an order lands are separate decisions. Unsettled at setup, they return as stock discrepancies.
Which payment and shipping setup is possible depends on the services you choose and your current Ticimax package. We do not advise on payments, commissions or regulation.
When the connections reach past the site into a chain where each step triggers the next, the work belongs to business process automation.
If some orders never touch the site and arrive on WhatsApp instead, that flow is designed separately: WhatsApp order automation.
Migration and technical groundwork
Arriving from another platform, the hard part is not moving products; it is deciding what happens to the old addresses and connections.
- How the category tree gets built on the Ticimax side
- The shape product, variant and image data is transferred in
- What the old addresses map to, and the redirect plan
- Which past orders and customer records come across
- Rebuilding payment, shipping and marketplace connections
- Transferring the domain without breaking measurement
Technical groundwork
- Category and product pages staying open to search
- Page titles, descriptions and canonical behaviour
- Redirects from the old addresses to the new ones
- Image sizes and mobile behaviour
This is how the work is done, not a promised result. We do not commit to a particular place in search results, a particular score in a measurement tool, or a rise in sales.
Who this is for
A fit
- You have settled on Ticimax and want the setup done properly.
- The site has grown and the catalogue structure no longer carries the range.
- A link to accounting, ERP or supplier data needs building.
- The work around the site still happens by hand.
Not a fit
- The platform choice is still completely open.
- Most of the need is internal software rather than a site.
- The goal is a guarantee of sales, or of a place in search results.
If you have not settled on a platform yet, the place to start is ecommerce store setup.
If what you are describing is less a sales site than a management system particular to your company, the right page is custom software development.
What we need to know
With these clear, the first call can produce a scope.
- A new Ticimax site, or an existing one?
- Which package is in use?
- How many products and categories; are there variants?
- Where is product data held today?
- Is there a supplier XML feed?
- Will accounting or ERP need to talk to the site?
- Will marketplace channels be used?
- Which jobs are done by hand right now?
- Is there a business rule the panel does not cover?
Frequently asked questions
- Can a Ticimax site be built from scratch?
- It can. What sets the size of the job is the product count and the state the data is in today; starting from a disorganised catalogue can take longer than the setup itself.
- Can my existing Ticimax site be developed further?
- It can. We first work out which rung the request falls on — setting, module, integration or development. Rebuilding is the last option.
- Can Ticimax be integrated with other systems?
- It can. There are ready integration categories for accounting and ERP, shipping, payment, marketplaces and supplier XML; anything beyond those is handled through the web services.
- Can custom integrations be built on the Ticimax API?
- They can. Ticimax offers web services covering products, categories, stock and orders; access is opened on request and can vary by package. We confirm what is possible against your own account at the start.
- Can I move to Ticimax from another platform?
- You can. The transfer itself is usually the easy step; the time goes into rebuilding the category tree and standing every integration back up on the new side.
- When is Ticimax not the right choice?
- When the business rules will not fit the panel's model, and when the weight of the need shifts from selling to internal operations. We say so from the outset; time spent on the wrong platform pays nobody back.
